When not acting on film, Ellen continues her stage activities with improv. She has taken classes from the Groundlings and currently is training at the Upright Citizens Brigade. She also does ballet and performs contemporary dance with Visceral Resolution. Occasionally she puts her weirdly flexible body to good use doing contortion.
In all of her so-called “spare time” she writes a humorous cooking blog. Scrumptious Gruel provides her wry, as well as rye, recipes, plus her views on life, acting, and whatever crosses her mind while sitting at her laptop at 3 in the morning.
